How did #hpm start?
The #hpm TweetChat was launched on July 14, 2010 by Christian Sinclair, MD and Renee Berry as a way to bring together a community dedicated to increasing public awareness about hospice, palliative care, and the differences between the two. A Pallimed post about the inaugural chat can be found here.

2010 National Hospice Month Video Project
Due to relationsihps built on the #hpm TweetChat and the dynamic online community, Renee Berry was able to organize and produce a video to help raise awareness for Natinoal Hospice Month in 2010. A special note that this video would not have been possible with out the thoughtful time it took each individual to send in their photo about why hospice is important to them, especially the teams at the San Diego Hospice and the Institute for Palliative Medicine and Alive Hospice.
